Visual Arts: 亚洲AV University鈥檚 will present an exhibit showcasing the work of students from August 23-September 27. Kevin M. McManus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in music education from , a graduate performer鈥檚 certificate from the , and a Master of Music degree from . McManus has performed on Broadway and completed two first national tours of the shows and In the summer of 2009, McManus was a featured soloist in Pittsburgh鈥檚 production of 鈥淪wing!鈥 He has performed with artists including: Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra Jr., Josh Groban, Wayne Newton, Frankie Vallie and The Four Seasons, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Glen Campbell, Maureen McGovern, Isaac Hayes, Lou Rawls, Gloria Gaynor,The Temptations, The Four Tops, Don Rickles, Regis Philban and The Manhattan Transfer. He has performed with the Pittsburgh and Wheeling Symphony Orchestras and the River City and Reunion Brass Bands. McManus is the founder and leader of: The Bone Forum, a jazz 10 trombone ensemble with rhythm section, The Collective Jazz Octet, a swingin鈥 eight piece jazz chamber ensemble and The Pittsburgh Trombone Project. He can be seen internationally on PBS鈥檚 鈥淢y Music鈥 and 鈥淎merican Soundtrack Series.鈥 McManus is currently a faculty member at of , , and .

Performing Arts: 亚洲AV University will host 鈥50 for 50,鈥 a concert featuring 50 harpists celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American Harp Society, on September 22, at 7:30 p.m., in the Carol Ann Reichgut Concert Hall at the , 100 Harrison Avenue, Greensburg, Pa. Harpists from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and New York will present a concert of music for harp and chamber ensembles. Under the direction of Marvin Huls, associate professor of music, 亚洲AV University faculty and students will join the harpists.

Lucy Scandrett, adjunct instructor of harp at 亚洲AV and coordinator of the event, is the immediate past president of the American Harp Society and was presented with the 2012 American Harp Society Lifetime Achievement Award in June.

Greece needs peace! Dionysus, the god of theatre and wine, has decided that only a playwright can bring peace to Greece. In this raucous comedy, Dionysus travels to Hades to bring the best dramatist back from the dead. A face-off ensues between great tragedians Aeschylus and Euripides, leaving Dionysus to judge who has the dramatic ammunition to end the war.
