Track and Field Compete at North Coast Open Saturday
On Saturday the women and men's track and field team competed at the Spire Institute in the North Coast Open.聽 On the women's side for the day Toni Davision had a season best jump of 3.05m (10'-0") good for 6th overall on the day.聽 Martina Milcic took home a 5th place finish in the shot 11.53m(37'-10") and 8th place in the weight.聽 Nichelle McMillan finished 2nd overall in the triple jump 10.97m (36'-0"), Mallory Trainer finished 7th in the triple jump on the day, Angela McCowin took home a season best time of 9.37 in the 60m hurdles finishing 6th overall, Meagen Carter hit a PSAC qualifying time in the mile finishing third at 5:17.48, Alesha Herman placed 7th in the 200m running 26.39 and in the women's 5000m Chelsia Poole hit the PSAC mark running a personal best 18:54.03 second overall, Jackie Kleinschrodt ran a personal best time of 19:17.87 good for a 4th place finish, Alyssa Brandis finished 6th overall and Sarah Taylor took home a 7th place finish for the Griffins.
